Itinerary

Day 1 – Marrakech to Tiziane:

Begin your adventure with an early morning departure from Marrakech, traversing the Moulay Brahim gorge and valleys. Immerse yourself in the charm of Imi Oughlad, meeting your dedicated Berber muleteer crew. Trek to the mesmerizing Tiz N’Tachete for two hours, continuing for another half-hour to Imi n’Ifri for a delightful picnic lunch. The journey unfolds with a scenic hike of two and a half hours to Assif N’Ait Oussaden, concluding in the red-clay terraced village of Tiziane. Enjoy a cozy night in bivouac accommodation or a traditional gite.

Day 2 – Tizziane to D’knt:

After a hearty breakfast, venture into the Assif N’Ait Oussaden valley, strolling through walnut groves to Tizi n’Taghrhourte. A flat stretch leads to the picturesque Assaka spring, providing the perfect spot for a delightful picnic lunch. In the afternoon, continue the hike to the Berber village of D’knt or Agouns n Assoul, where a cozy bivouac or gite awaits for dinner and a restful night.

Day 3 – D’knt to Tizi Oussem:

The morning unfolds with a three-hour hike through walnut groves, fields of corn, and barley, leading to Tizi n’Tagdalte. Enjoy a picnic in a small spring surrounded by juniper trees before a three-hour descent to the village of Tizi Oussem. Continue upward to the summer village of Tamsoult, where you’ll camp or stay in a gite, offering a unique experience based on the weather and time of year.

Day 4 – Âazib Tamsoult to Toubkal Refuge

Embark on an eastward hike to Tizi Aguelzim, followed by a three-hour walk to the Toubkal Refuge. Relish a hearty dinner and spend a comfortable night in the refuge, preparing for the grand summit ahead.

Day 5 – Toubkal Refuge to Marrakech:

Start your day with an early breakfast and a thrilling three-hour ascent to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in the Maghreb. After soaking in panoramic views, descend to the hostel for a picnic lunch. Journey northwards to the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, followed by a scenic two-hour descent to the village of Imlil. Your adventure concludes with a transfer back to Marrakech, arriving around 5 pm – 6 pm.
